Wexford County Council is delighted to announce the launch of its next County Arts Plan – ‘Advancing the Arts’ 2018 – 2022. This 5th Arts Plan was officially launched by Ms Josepha Madigan, TD and Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht in County Hall, Wexford last Monday 12 March 2018 who noted
"I welcome the launch of this exciting plan which I am confident will reinforce the importance of the arts in Wexford. It illustrates how culture and creativity plays a major role in the lives of people and in communities across this county and sets out how Wexford County Council will lead, develop and work with various partners including my Department and the Creative Ireland Programme to support the arts over the next five years."
Wexford County Council looks forward to enhancing its work though this Arts Plan over the coming years and working with its key partners – The Arts Council, The Department of Culture Heritage and the Gaeltacht, The Creative Ireland Programme, the HSE, as well and building exciting new partnerships with Music Generation, Wexford Waterford Education and Training Board (WWETB) and other key stakeholders.
On behalf of the Arts Office we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took part in the various stages of consultation around this plan in 2017 and we look forward to working with you in the coming years.
