Public Consultation - Courtown North Beach and Marina Feasibility Study
The South East Regional Working Group External Emergency Plan for; European Refreshments, IDA Business & Technology Park, Rosslare Road, Drinagh, Co. Wexford.
An Garda Síochána, The Health Service Executive and Wexford County Council are each required by the Chemicals Act (Control of Major Accident Hazards involving Dangerous Substances) Regulations 2015 (S.I. No. 209 of 2015) to prepare a plan (External Emergency Plan) to deal with the effects off-site and to assist, where relevant, with the emergency response on site in the event of a major accident at site designated as 'Upper-Tier Seveso Sites' under the above-mentioned Regulations. The above is such a site. This public consultation is taking place in accordance with Section 16 (6) of S.I. No. 209 of 2019.

Dates for viewing are from Monday 25th November until 20th December 2019 inclusive, excluding weekends from 09:30 - 16:30 hours.
Submissions can be made up to 16:30 hours on Friday 20th December 2019.
Wexford County Council has recently completed a study to determine the feasibility of reinstating a wide sandy beach to the north of the existing harbour at Courtown, constructing suitability coastal defences to retain the beach and an option of developing a new harbour.
We will host a public information session on the feasibility study as follows:

Venue: The Taravie Hotel, Courtown
Information on the study will be on display at two locations from 12th November 2019 to 11th December 2019:
- The Taravie Hotel, Courtown from 10:00 to 19:00 each day
- Gorey - Kilmuckridge Municipal Offices, The Avenue, Gorey. Monday: 09:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00. Tuesday to Friday: 09:00 to 17:00.
The purpose of the public consultation is to get initial feedback on the study. It is a non-statutory public consultation process.

The closing date for receipt of observations is 3pm Friday 20th December 2019.
Public Consultation on the Amendments to Regional Economic and Spatial Strategy for the Southern Region.
In December 2018 the Southern Regional Assembly published the Draft Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy for the Southern Region (RSES) for public consultation. Following receipt of submissions the Regional Assembly decided to make amendments to the Strategy. It was deemed that a number of amendments were material and as such, would require further public display period in accordance with the requirements of section 24(8) of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2018.
The Proposed Material Amendments and associated Environmental Reports have been placed on public display and are available to view at the offices of the Southern Regional Assembly in Waterford and at all constituent Local Authority Planning Department offices between Thursday 12th September 2019 and Friday 11th October 2019 (both dates inclusive).
