This book is a memoir of life in a working class family that lived in the North inner city of Dublin.
It covers the service of the author’s father James Sheridan with “E” company 1st. battalion Dublin Brigade during the War of Independence, his incarceration in Mountjoy Prison and later in Portlaoise prison during the Civil War that followed.
During Wold War Two his father joined the British army and served with the 8th army in North Africa, Sicilly and Italy.
