Eamonn Carter was born in the 1950s; just eight years after the horrors of the concentration camps were becoming fully known.
Even then there was a great and almost dignified silence and collective amnesia about concentration camps.
These paintings exude an uncomfortable silence, which is not always seen as an appropriate response.
