Teaching English involves stimulating the imagination and fostering the development of empathy and self-knowledge and opening up the world to students. Methods of teaching have changed over the years. Discussion and debate are now routinely used as educational techniques in today’s classrooms. The emphasis is no longer on rigid discipline and conformity, as once it was.
This course of four lectures offers a fresh appreciation of poetry, prose and drama and considers what we may have missed during our time at school. Commencing Thursday 25th January at 11am.
Please phone Gorey Library on 053 942 1481 to book a place. Should you require any supports to fully participate in this event, please contact the Librarian.
