Norman Event for Families with Baya the Storyteller

Norman Event for Families with Baya the Storyteller
Saturday, 8th June 2019 - 2:00pm

"Eight weeks after Robert Fitzstephen's landing in Bannow Bay, we are delighted to welcome Baya Salmon-Hawk, a storyteller from the Aquitaine, who travelled with the three boats. She will tell of her experiences as she came over from Normandy with Dermot MacMurrough's party.

Her friendship with the Irish Princess Aoife has given her an interesting insight in this episode of Irish History. She was also able to converse freely with the King of the Welsh, Robert's cousin and learnt much about the history of that troubled time."
