Aidan Ryan, a member of the Enniscorthy Pugin Society, will give an illustrated presentation on one of County Wexford’s most splendid churches.
Augustus Welby Pugin is considered to be one of the finest architects of the nineteenth century. He designed a number of churches in County Wexford. Notable features of Enniscorthy Cathedral include the façade, a reredos carved from Caen stone and a great north window with intricate stone tracery. It was restored to its near original design in 1994 when authentic colours, materials and techniques were used.
Please phone Enniscorthy Library on 053 923 6055 to book a place. Should you require any supports to fully participate in this event, please contact the Librarian.
