During science week we invite you to join Stephanie Long from the EPA, Office of Radiation Protection and Environmental Monitoring who will talk about radon in the north Wexford area.
She will explain how you can check whether the levels in your home are still high by borrowing a digital monitor from Bunclody library and what you should do next.
Following this, you will be able to take part in a pilot citizen science project and borrow a digital radon monitor, in the same way as you borrow a book, keep it for 3 weeks and then return it to the library for the next person.
Borrow a Radon Gas Digital Monitor from Bunclody library – a citizen science project County Wexford is the pilot project for this new citizen science project lead by the EPA.
This project will be launched in Science Week. If successful this project will be rolled out nationally.
