• What is a recurring card payment?
This is a regular automatic payment that can be set up using your debit card.
• How does the payment work?
Details of your debit card are given just once, and then we simply set up a regular payment schedule.
You nominate the date and frequency of the payment, for example say every Friday if weekly or 20th of each month if monthly and so on.
• How secure is this process?
Your payment information is encrypted and securely stored by one of the world’s largest payment providers REALEX. Wexford County Council does not hold your card details.
Where no payments are processed for 90 days – or if your account is closed – your card details will be deleted.
• What are the advantages?
It is a very safe and easy way to pay.
A recurring card payment can be set up in minutes, just contact your credit controller or dial our offices on - 053 9196266.
Financial costs are minimal compared with other payment options such as bank standing orders.
Avoids unnecessary trips to the Post Office and reduces exposure to the potential risk of COVID.
For our older and vulnerable customers who are cocooning during the Covid-19 crisis you can manage payments securely without leaving your home.
