Press Release – Wednesday 10 May, 2017.

On Saturday 8th April 2017, Wexford Civil Defence took part in a regional competition hosted by Meath Civil Defence at Tara Mines, Navan, County Meath.
Teams from Cavan, Dublin, Monaghan and Wexford took part. The competitive elements were Foot Drill, Search, Communications and a Rescue / First aid site. Teams consisted of ten persons and two subs. 

The Wexford Civil Defence team emerged as winners in the Foot Drill competition while Dublin won the overall competition. 

The Wexford team put in a great performance and were placed runners up overall in a very close competition. It was a great competition in a unique location and thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part.
The competition was followed by a presentation dinner at the Newgrange Hotel, Navan, where prizes were presented to the winning teams by Mr. Paul Kehoe, TD, Minister with Responsibility for Defence.
