WexSci Wexford Science Festival returns this year from the 10th to the 24th November.
It promises a celebration of science, technology, engineering, arts and maths, STEAM, for people of all ages and interests.
The festival is led by Wexford County Council in partnership with SFI, Science Foundation Ireland, I.T. Carlow, WWETB, EPA, BIM, and Local Link Wexford and in collaboration with the business sector, community groups, national, regional and local agencies.
It offers science events in libraries, community and family resource centres, in public buildings, schools and colleges across County Wexford.
This year’s festival includes themes of climate change and biodiversity, which you will see reflected widely in the programme.
WexSci offers a mix of fun with learning, allowing you and you family to explore and stretch your understanding of STEAM.
You will see how science is around us in everyday life and learn from the presenters how it is used in education, research and industry.
The WexSci Science Showcase on Saturday 16th November offers interactive exhibits, demonstrations, stage shows, and opportunities to meet and talk to scientists.
The Science Showcase in 2019 comes to you now from three locations, The Street at Wexford County Council, Carricklawn for family fun science events; from the National Opera House where you will find three lectures from renowned scientists; and from Wexford Library for a demonstration and discussion on particles.
