Local Authorities have agreed with Government that rates payments due from businesses most immediately impacted by COVID-19 (Coronavirus), primarily in the retail, hospitality, leisure and childcare sectors, should be deferred for at least a 3 month period.
Wexford County Council understands the difficulties currently being experienced by ratepayers and is committed to working with ratepayers through this difficult period.
With that in mind, Wexford County Council is establishing a register of businesses that have been directly impacted by COVID-19. You can register by completing the ‘COVID-19 Registration Form for Impacted Ratepayers’ online at www.wexfordcoco.ie/rates/covid19
Even if you have already been in contact with your Credit Controller or the Rates Office you should formally register on this list to have your account listed on the Council’s register.
Ratepayers that can pay their rates should continue to do so. Any customers that are in a position to make early payments are encouraged to do so in order to support the Council’s services including essential services as part of the response to the COVID-19 emergency.
