Land use planning is complex and
technical and we must ensure that
the plan contains the content
required by national and European
legislation, that it complies with
national policy and that it is tailored
to fit the specific needs of County

Wexford. Most importantly we must
ensure that it reflects our values
and the issues that matter to the
people of Wexford.

We are now at the start of a 2 year
process which will result in the
adoption of the new County
Development Plan 2019-2025. This

plan will decide how the county is
developed in the next 6 years and
will plant seeds for development far
beyond. It is crucial that, before
commencing the preparation of the
plan, the Members of Wexford
County Council know what matters

to the people of Wexford. This is
your chance.
