Ports Past and Present Exhibition

The street in County Hall will host an exhibition of work created by Irish and Welsh artists for the Ports Past and Present. The artists turned their creative vision to the often-overlooked port communities around Rosslare Harbour, Fishguard, Pembroke Dock, Holyhead and Dublin. They created works that reflect the rich heritage and culture around these places. The exhibition is open until 14th March 2023.

The exhibition features sculpture, audio, photography, drawing, print, digital, film, poetry and storytelling. The artists featured include: Peter Murphy, David Begley, Jon Gower, Julie Merriman, Robert Jakes, Kathy D’arcy, Zillah Bowes, Peter Stevenson, Gillian Bownson, Margaret Pendrell, Rua Barron, Hannah Power and Augustine O’Donoghue . You can find out more about the artists and their work here

We have invited some of the artists to come along to county hall and talk about their work for the project on Friday 3rd of March. Attendance at these events and the exhibition are FREE thanks to funding provided by the European Regional Development Fund through the Ireland Wales Co-Operation Programme.
