Site Suitability Testing

Wastewaters from single houses in the countryside that are not connected to sewers are generally treated on-site by septic tank systems or individual domestic wastewater treatment systems. Site assessments and wastewater treatment system designs must be submitted to Wexford County Council when applying for planning permission for a dwelling that will have its own on-site waste water treatment system. These site assessments and wastewater treatment system design must meet the requirements as set out in the relevant EPA Code of Practice. More information is available from EPA.

Wexford County Council are not permitted to publish a list of approved Site Accessors to carry out Site Suitability Assessments, Design and Certification of On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems.
