Wexford Stories is a project that draws on the imagination of older people in Wexford through engaging them in the tradition of storytelling – a practice that connects people through places, culture and history.
Creative Ireland Wexford in partnership with South East Radio, Wexford PPN, Wexford Age Friendly and Healthy Wexford delivered this project via radio over four weeks with a weekly one-hour radio programme.
It focused on local storytellers telling Wexford Stories, giving listeners an insight into the local folklore around many landmarks in the County. Incorporating the sense of place within the stories which provided an additional link for the listeners.
