The Courtown and Riverchapel Community Textile Project
The Courtown and Riverchapel Community Textile Project is a creative initiative that brings local people together to explore, celebrate and visually represent the identity of their community through textile art.
Led by artist Trish Middleton, the project invites participants of all ages and abilities to share stories, memories, observations and personal connections to Courtown and Riverchapel. Through a series of collaborative workshops, these ideas will be transformed into a large-scale textile installation that reflects the character, history, landscape and spirit of the area.
Using a variety of textile techniques, participants will contribute to the creation of a unique artwork that highlights the voices and experiences of the community. The project encourages creativity, connection, conversation and a sense of shared ownership, while providing opportunities to learn new skills in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
The finished installation will serve as a lasting celebration of local identity and community pride, creating a meaningful visual legacy shaped by the people who live, work and belong in Courtown and Riverchapel.

Sound Project at the Cultural Biodiversity and Heritage Trail at Carnsore Wind Farm
This community-led project will bring local people together to create a series of six original audio soundscapes for the Carnsore Biodiversity and Cultural Heritage Trail. Through workshops and recording sessions, participants will share their knowledge, memories and experiences of Carnsore, exploring its wildlife, changing environment, cultural heritage and the stories that shape the area.
Working with artist Connor Duggan, community members and creative contributors will gather environmental recordings from across the wind farm landscape, capturing the sounds of wind, wildlife, water, vegetation, human activity and renewable energy infrastructure. These recordings will be combined with music and spoken contributions from local people to create immersive audio experiences rooted in place.
The project will support participants to record, reflect on and creatively interpret the sounds and stories of Carnsore. The finished soundscapes will be accessible via QR codes along the trail, offering visitors a deeper connection to the natural and cultural life of the area through local voices and perspectives.
A series of public events will share the work through live talks and audio-visual performances inspired by the sounds and stories gathered throughout the process. Together, the project will celebrate Carnsore's distinctive character while preserving local knowledge, ecological awareness and community memory for future generations.

Wexford Quay – Community Engagement and Creative Placemaking Project
Creative Ireland Wexford Programme, in partnership with Wexford Municipal District and Wexford County Council Arts Office, now seeks applications from creatives or collaborative creative teams to develop and deliver a participatory arts project exploring the social life, identity and lived experience of Wexford Quay.

The Great Book of Killanne
The ‘Great Book of Killanne’ will explore and celebrate the heritage of Killanne, capturing a moment in time through the creation of a unique large format handmade book.
Working with residents of all ages in Killanne, the project will take a collaborative approach to creativity through workshops and events that will respond to local interests, explore existing skills, learn, and build confidence, while acquiring new skills. Workshops will focus on design, painting, calligraphy and there will also be two portrait painting events of local community members.
Anyone who is interested is welcome to join whether they consider themselves artistic or not. Everyone will be facilitated by artists Mick O'Dea and Liz Rackard in exploring their own unique connection to Killanne and what the village and area means to them. Workshops will allow time for discussion, brainstorming, art making, trial and error with art materials and eventually the translation of ideas onto the pages that will be bound together to create the book. Once ideas and designs are clearer, everyone will be assigned a page or two which will become a part of the final handmade and bound book. The book will be bound by a professional bookbinder experienced in creating artists books.
