Children’s Book Festival is an annual October event which helps spread the enjoyment of books and reading among children and families, authors and illustrators, teachers and librarians all over Ireland.
Part of the Right to Read initiative, the festival aims to encourage children to enjoy the experience of reading and support their reading development through engaging and fun activities and events with the very best writers, artists and storytellers.
This year children once again have the opportunity to meet some of their favourite authors and take part in fun workshops with their classmates and their families.
Throughout October Wexford Libraries will offer schools and families an extensive variety of events delivered in branches and online.
Contact your local library in Bunclody, Enniscorthy, Gorey, New Ross or Wexford to find out more.
