Starter Homes Expression of Interest Form

Wexford County Council , in accordance with ‘Housing for All Delivery Action Plan 2022-2026’, is actively working on developing starter homes over the coming years. The purpose of the starter home purchase scheme is to provide houses at a reduced price for eligible applicants. Notwithstanding the eligibility criteria that are contained in the Regulations for any scheme, the Council wishes to establish the level of interest in County Wexford for affordable dwellings.
To facilitate this Wexford County Council is now launching an online expression of interest for people who feel they may be eligible to acquire or rent a starter home from the council. This will help in determining the level of interest in starter home purchase and cost rental and is for the purpose of gathering information on:

income levels,

family size,
-
housing type and
-
location preference.
The information will be used to inform the Council on the level of demand and locations for starter homes and the house prices that people can afford. This will aid us in designing a scheme with the right type of homes, at the locations and price points that suit your needs insofar as possible.
Availability of any starter homes programmes progressed by the Council in the future will be advertised separately, and there will be a formal application process will apply in accordance with the legislation in place at that time.

The expression of interest is now available on Wexford County Council’s website and will be open and will remain open for now. Data is collected for form purposes only and there will be no follow up correspondence to submissions.
