With effect from today, Tuesday 17th July, An Post takes over responsibility for the issuing and renewal of dog licences from local authorities and commences the process of developing a new National Dog Licence database. Flooding represents a risk to health and safety and has resulted in significant property damage and traffic disruption in the town.
