This group has been established under the auspices of the County Wexford Age Friendly Programme to put the voice of older people central to decision-making about matters that affect their everyday living.

Wexford County Council has been awarded judgment in the High Court against Seafield Hotel Limited for more than €84,000. The judgment follows a long-running action by Wexford County Council against Seafield Hotel Limited in respect of its failure to pay commercial rates.
Wexford County Council was also awarded the costs of its action.
Cathaoirleach of New Ross Municipal District Councillor Willie Fitzharris opened a Book of Condolence at the Tholsel, New Ross, this afternoon as a gesture of sympathy to the families of those killed following a tragic road accident at Cushinstown, County Wexford on Monday evening last, 4th December.

The winners of the IPB Pride of Place Awards 2017, in association with Co-operation Ireland, were announced on Saturday night last at a gala awards ceremony in Letterkenny, with Lady’s Island Wexford beating off stiff opposition from Tory Island to achieve the top accolade in the Islands and Coastal Communities category.
The Minister for Rural & Community Development, Michael Ring TD, recently announced a Government investment in public libraries of €3.75 million from the Department of Rural and Community Development, supplemented by approximately €1.25 million from local authorities for public libraries.
