Wexford Borough District is now planning Wexford Town Christmas 2026 and is inviting experienced and creative individuals, organisations and event professionals to submit proposals that will build on and enhance our existing Christmas offering.
We would particularly like to hear from those with a background or proven track record in event management, outdoor performance, family entertainment, creative programming and the animation of public spaces.
While budgets are limited, our ambition is not. We want to think creatively, aim high and deliver a memorable experience for families, visitors and the wider Wexford community.
We are currently planning a major outdoor event for the weekend of 21-22 November 2026, centred around welcoming Santa to Wexford and officially launching the magical Christmas season in Wexford Town.
Christmas is a particularly special time for children and families, as well as a vital training period for our local retailers and businesses. We want to create an event that brings people into the heart of the town, creates a sense of excitement and celebration, and showcases Wexford at its festive best.
If you would like to be part of it, we want to hear from you. Bring your creativity, imagination, energy and enthusiasm, with community at the heart of your proposal. We welcome ideas of every scale – no idea is too small, and no ambition too big.
