Wexford County Council in partnership with Wexford Age Friendly County Programme has commissioned the Mobile Music Machine (MMM) to perform 15 concerts countywide in day care centres.
The mobile music machine specialises in delivery high quality, string and operatic workshops and will use local musicians with each performance following the strict Covid-19 guidelines in place at that time.
The musicians will liaise directly with the day care centre in advance of the visit to engage service users in the process of choosing the music that will be performed to help deliver a more meaningful visit.
The aims of the project are to allow service users to experience the therapeutic joy of live classical music and provide emotional and psychological respite to the service users who have been deeply impacted by Covid-19.
