The Wexford Energy Expo – Enniscorthy DZ Energy & EV Expo will take place on Thursday 22 October, bringing together experts, exhibitors, homeowners, EV owners, businesses and local organisations for a day packed with practical advice, information and inspiration.
With around 30 exhibitors, expert speakers, real-life stories, panel discussions, an Energy Clinic and electric and hybrid vehicles on display, the Expo is designed to help you cut through the jargon and get answers to the questions that matter to you.
Whether you are taking your first steps towards a more energy-efficient home, already considering a retrofit, thinking about changing your car or looking at ways to reduce energy use in your business, you’ll find information, advice and real-life experience all under one roof.

One of the highlights of the Expo will be a unique homeowner panel featuring different homes and their own individual energy journeys at 2 pm.
Hear first-hand from homeowners living in older homes, as they share their experiences of improving energy efficiency, the decisions they made, what they learned along the way and the practical realities of retrofitting and making changes to their homes.
The panel will offer an honest look at the opportunities and challenges involved in making different types of homes more energy efficient, alongside expert advice on retrofit, grants, energy-saving measures and available supports.
Whatever type of home you live in, come along and hear how other homeowners have approached their own energy journeys.

11.30 AM - Which EV is right for you?
At 11.30 am, the EV panel will take to the stage. If you are thinking about making the switch to electric or hybrid, this is not to be missed. The Expo’s dedicated EV panel will tackle the practical questions people are asking before making the move.
Hear directly from EV and hybrid vehicle owners alongside automotive experts as they discuss charging, longer journeys, running costs, everyday driving and choosing the right vehicle for different lifestyles.
There will also be an opportunity to see a selection of the latest electric and hybrid vehicles up close, with models from leading automotive brands on display.
So whether you are an EV convert, considering your first electric car or simply wondering what all the fuss is about, come along, ask questions and hear about the experience of people who have already made the switch.

12.30 PM - Energy advice for your business
At 12.30 pm, the Business Energy panel will look at practical ways businesses can manage energy use, improve efficiency and identify opportunities to reduce costs.
Featuring energy specialists and first-hand business experience, the session will explore the challenges businesses face and the practical solutions that can make a difference.
It’s an opportunity for business owners and managers to find out more about energy efficiency, available supports and the steps they can take to make their businesses more energy-smart.

3 PM - Why we all need better air quality
At 3 pm, the programme turns the spotlight on air quality, with a special session exploring why the quality of the air matters and how our energy, home-heating and vehicle choices can have a direct impact on the air that we breathe in Enniscorthy.
Hear about the findings of local research and surveys and discover more about air quality in Enniscorthy, why it matters and the steps we can all take towards healthier indoor and outdoor environments.

Bring your energy questions to the Energy Clinic
Do you plan on improving your home energy but you don’t know where to start? Bring along your electricity bill and book a free one-to-one appointment at the Energy Clinic.
An engineer from SEEA will be available to look at your energy needs and help identify potential opportunities for savings and improved efficiency.
It’s a chance to get practical, personalised advice about your own energy use and find out where you could make changes and what measures are suitable to your own home — with no obligation.

The Expo will bring together around 30 exhibitors and organisations, giving visitors the opportunity to talk directly to people working across energy, retrofit, electric vehicles, and related services.
Organisations represented will include Wexford County Council, Wexford LEO, SEAI, SEEA, HPBA and UCC, DoneDeal, alongside businesses and specialists from across the sector.
