The X-GAP Project will celebrate Christmas in North County Wexford through comedy, songs and performances. Working with singer Honor Heffernan and writer Garrett Keogh a community group will rehearse and perform a humorous and disruptive take on Christmas themes. This will be presented to local communities in a series of pop-up events in December.
X-GAP builds on its history of successfully connecting communities with outstanding artists, bringing quality experiences of participatory arts to rural settings. While taking on a Christmas theme, the stories told will be rooted in North Wexford, connecting the performers and audiences to the locality. Positioning the stories in this way opens hearts to the nuanced beauty and fun of the North Wexford community, creating new bonds and encouraging positive civic engagement.
