Accessible Walking Trails & Destination Parks

Accessible Walking Trails & Destination Parks

The aim of the initiative was to inform of at least one walking trail and a destination park, which would be accessible for all in each of the five Municipal Districts of Wexford.

This project was a collaborative initiative, developed based on consultations & activities following the 2020 Make Way Day & launched on Make Way Day 2021.

Following trail and park review by collaborating partners, accessible trails and parks were identified for each Municipal District.  An online storyboard has been created, through pictures and text, to provide a sample of what one can expect at each location.  PDFs of the information for each location on the storyboard are also available for download and are made available in hard copy at key locations across the county.

To view the storyboard and further information, click here and go to the Walking Trails section.

It is hoped over time to continue to grow and develop both the accessible trails themselves and this storyboard resource.
