Transfers - Based on ‘Need’ not ‘Want’
You can make an application for a transfer to another local authority house under certain criteria.
Complete a transfer application form (available from the housing section), giving reasons for the transfer together with supporting documentation such as medical reports.
Applicants will not normally be placed on a transfer list unless they have been tenants in their existing dwelling for one year.
Transfers are looked at on a ‘need’ rather than a ‘want’ basis.
