Mobility Aids Housing Grant Scheme
The Mobility Aids Housing Grant Scheme is available to grant aid a basic suite of works to address mobility problems, primarily, but not exclusively, associated with ageing. This Scheme is also for the disabled person who is a member of the household. The grant is means tested and the level of grant is determined on the basis of gross income of the homeowner and their spouse (if applicable) for the previous tax year. The maximum grant available is €8,000 or 100% of the approved net cost of proposed works. Gross income must not exceed €37,500. Refund on the VAT amount can be recouped from the Revenue Commissioners when payment has been issued by the Council.
