To renew motor tax
You will need
- Completed application form RF100A or RF100B
- If taxing a goods vehicle for the first time or after a change of ownership or if you have moved to County Wexford from another county, a Goods Only Declaration form RF111A, along with supporting documentation of business / trade registration or employee status, if the Design Gross Vehicle Weight (D.G.V.W.) of the vehicle is less than 3501 kgs.
- Appropriate Fee
- If taxing a goods vehicle for the first time or after a change of ownership, you must submit your original commercial insurance certificate for your vehicle. (Insurance should indicate that your vehicle is covered for the carriage of goods in the course of trade or business.)
- If taxing an Articulated Tractor Unit for the first time after an ownership change, a weighdocket from an authorised weighbridge must also be submitted. (Note: The heaviest trailer which is intended to be used by the new owner for the duration of their ownership, must be attached to the vehicle when weighing.)
First taxing of a new or imported goods vehicle
You will need
- Completed application form RF100 (available from Garage, or if imported from NCTS)
- Goods Only Declaration form RF111A, along with supporting documentation of business / trade registration or employee status, if the unladen weight of the vehicle is less than 3501kgs
- Appropriate fee
- Your original commercial insurance certificate for your vehicle. (Insurance should indicate that your vehicle is covered for the carriage of goods in the course of trade or business.)
- Weight docket from an authorised weighbridge. (Note: In the case of Articulated Tractor Units, the heaviest trailer which is intended to be used by the new owner for the duration of their ownership, must be attached to the vehicle when weighing.)
