Built, Cultural and Natural Heritage

The Heritage Act (1995) identifies many types of cultural, natural and built heritage which form part of the national heritage. These include; monuments, archaeological objects, heritage objects, architectural heritage, flora, fauna, wildlife habitats, landscapes, seascapes, wrecks, geology, heritage gardens and parks and inland waterways.  
Heritage can be broadly classified into cultural, natural (biodiversity) and built heritage.
