Drama League Of Ireland Scholarship
The Arts Office of Wexford County Council is pleased to announce the provision of two scholarships in 2026 for the Drama League of Ireland Residential Summer School which takes place at the University of Limerick, Saturday August 1st – Saturday August 8th, 2026
The Drama League of Ireland (DLI) is the national representative body for amateur drama groups, societies and individuals. The Summer School facilitates participant’s artistic development by furthering their knowledge and experience with other professionals involved in the theatre-making world.
There are many courses on offer at this year’s summer school designed to cater for a wide variety of interests and levels of experience. The scholarship, valued at €695, will cover the cost of a residential place at the Summer School and includes tuition, accommodation and meals.
The Tyrone Guthrie Centre Regional Residency Award 2026
More than 27 local authorities across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland offer special residency awards to support artists in spending one week at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Annaghmakerrig – a dedicated residential workplace for artists in County Monaghan. Wexford County Council’s Arts Department is pleased to announce the availability of two bursaries in 2026 for artists who are resident in County Wexford.
Each bursary covers full board and lodging for a one-week residency, with access to the Centre’s facilities where required (https://tyroneguthrie.ie/facilities ). Plus a €300 stipend once dates have been confirmed this allowance is paid 1 week prior to departure by Wexford Arts Department.
Aims of the Bursary Scheme:

To identify emerging and established professional artists across the island of Ireland who would benefit from a working residency at Annaghmakerrig.

To support recipients in producing work that can be shared with their local communities through exhibitions, performances, readings, or other public presentations.

To strengthen partnerships between the Tyrone Guthrie Centre and local authorities throughout Ireland, reflecting its role as a major cross-border cultural collaboration.
The deadline for receipt of all applications is Tuesday 27th January, 2026 on or before 4.00pm.
