Wexford Borough District now invites applications for support funding under the Shopfront Improvement Scheme 2023. This scheme supports works (e.g. painting, refurbishment, repair) that enhance the appearance of shopfronts and business premises in Wexford Town and district and that help to create a more inviting and attractive streetscape.
The scheme will support 50% of the cost of a ground floor shop front refurbishment up to a maximum allowable contribution of €1,000 per applicant - depending on the work proposed. Works to upper floors above the shopfront will be supported at 50% up to a maximum allowable contribution of €1,500. Accordingly the maximum grant payable to an applicant for works that address the entire façade of a building is €2,500.
