Thursday, 3 August 2023 – Uisce Éireann, working in partnership with Wexford County Council, has announced that works to provide an essential upgrade to the sewer network in Enniscorthy will commence next week. The upgrade will greatly improve the water quality in the River Slaney through the decommissioning of an existing outfall pipe, which will benefit homes and businesses in Co Wexford’s second largest town.

The Emergency Department (ED) in Wexford General Hospital (WGH) successfully opened, as planned, today, from 09:00. Only five months after a fire caused significant damage in large parts of the Hospital building.
The ED service reopening is a significant day for the staff and management at the hospital. It also comes as a great relief to the people of Wexford.

With water being such a precious resource, this initiative aims to equip businesses with the necessary tools and knowledge to become more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally conscious.
We are delighted to announce that Phase 1 (New Ross to Glenmore) of the South East Greenway, a scenic 6km route, will open to the public on Tuesday 25th July 2023 at 2pm.
Start from the Greenway car park in Rosbercon or from the car park at Glenmore roundabout and be one of the first to officially walk, cycle, run or even skate on the Country’s newest Greenway!

Age Friendly Ireland, is thrilled to announce that Wexford County Council are hosting the National Age Friendly Recognition and Achievement Awards 2023 in Clayton Whites Hotel, Wexford in November this year.
Wexford County Council Climate Action Event was held in County Hall on June 1st.
The day comprised of 20 presenters providing key information and possible actions to consider as part of your contribution to climate action.
