As the countdown to this August’s Fleadh Cheoil begins, County Wexford is set to come alive with the rhythm and richness of Irish culture. From the shores of Rosslare to the streets of Enniscorthy, and from Gorey down to New Ross, the Fringe Fleadh 2025 will transform the county into a vibrant stage of tradition, creativity, and community.

Launch of Public Consultation for South East EV Strategy
“Region 5” consisting of Tipperary, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford City and County Councils are seeking public input to inform the development of a regional EV Strategy. The goal of the strategy is to address the challenges and opportunities in deploying EV charging infrastructure in the South-East region.
Public consultation opens on May 1st and runs until 4pm on May 30th 2025. This consultation invites residents, stakeholders, and the general public to share their views and input on the future of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in their areas.
May Day Ceremony
The Annual wreath laying ceremony to commemorate May Day and the 1911 Wexford Lock Out will be held on Sunday 4th May at 11am at the Lock Out Gate, The Faythe, Wexford. All are welcome to attend.
Enniscorthy Municipal District - Shopfront Improvement Grants 2025
Enniscorthy Municipal District will continue to enhance and improve the image of Enniscorthy by once again launching Shopfront, Painting, Awning and Flower Grant Scheme for 2025.
This type of scheme can bring many social and environmental benefits to towns and villages.
The scheme will assist Business Owners / Operators to carry out works which will improve the exterior appearance of their business premises.

COMMEMORATING THE 109TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 1916 RISING IN ENNISCORTHY
Th 109th anniversary of the Easter Rising in Enniscorthy 1916, will be remembered in the annual commemorative event organised by Enniscorthy Municipal District on Easter Monday.
Ceremonies will commence with a celebration of Mass in St. Aidan’s Cathedral at 10 a.m. followed by a procession to Market Square where the Cathaoirleach of Enniscorthy Municipal District, Cllr. Aidan Browne, will lay a wreath.
All are welcome to attend.
