The Emergency Department (ED) in Wexford General Hospital (WGH) successfully opened, as planned, today, from 09:00. Only five months after a fire caused significant damage in large parts of the Hospital building.

The ED service reopening is a significant day for the staff and management at the hospital. It also comes as a great relief to the people of Wexford.

Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Wexford County Council, is delighted to announce the delivery of a free online Water Conservation Clinic to Wexford businesses on Thursday, 27 July. With water being such a precious resource, this initiative aims to equip businesses with the necessary tools and knowledge to become more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally conscious.

We are delighted to announce that Phase 1 (New Ross to Glenmore) of the South East Greenway, a scenic 6km route, will open to the public on Tuesday 25th July 2023 at 2pm. 

 

 

Start from the Greenway car park in Rosbercon or from the car park at Glenmore roundabout and be one of the first to officially walk, cycle, run or even skate on the Country’s newest Greenway!
